As part of Nation Read Across America week, an annual reading motivation and awareness program that calls for every child in every community to celebrate reading, students at Saluda Elementary School threw a grand Dr. Seuss Celebration. On the day of the celebration, March 2, the students and faculty read a variety of Seuss books and completed correlating activities, created Seuss inspired art, feasted on green eggs and ham, enjoyed lots of yummy cupcakes, and participated in a book parade. Everyone had an amazingly fun time and was reminded how rewarding reading can be. SES would like to give a special thanks to our cafeteria staff for the special lunch, our parents for the cupcakes, and the Saluda Police Department and Sheriff's Office for keeping our parade route safe.
