Continue reading to learn more about her.More After careful consideration and continued research, Saluda County Schools has decided to close all schools on Monday, August 21, 2017, the day of the Great American Solar Eclipse. We believe this is the best decision to ensure the safety and well-being of our students. There is a projected increase in visitation to South Carolina and possible traffic concerns which have the potential to impact our bus routes. Our decision to close schools is based, in part, on our desire to reduce the risk of students en route to their homes during the eclipse.
